Parking garages combine large repeatable floor areas with tyre abrasion, dust, sand and vehicle traffic. Autonomous cleaning is most suitable on sufficiently level, clearly defined traffic and parking floors, while ramps, strong slopes, outdoor decks and special traffic risks require separate assessment.
Dry dust, sand and tyre abrasion place different demands on a robot than adhered soil or regular wet cleaning. The actual dirt profile and floor surface therefore determine the model class.
Ramps, strong slopes, weather-exposed decks and zones with special traffic or safety requirements should not be treated as equivalent to a level indoor floor.
